It’s been more than a year now owning our home. We celebrated festivals, our parents visited us and every moment that we cherished in our new home we remembered you and Mark (our mortgage broker) and realized the true worth of your effort.

Without the support of you, we likely would have been frustrated with the process and walked away from our "forever home". You were always open to meeting when it worked best for us - late at night, on the weekends, or early morning, very accommodating as well as easy to talk to. Your honest opinions and suggestions help us to get this home. You were always steps ahead and your inputs like a Moving Check List, Utilities List with telephone numbers etc. were always a substantial help for beginners, first time home buyers, like us.

We are always delighted and feel proud when friends and relatives appreciate our new home and this is only because of you.

I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Tara on the sale of my Grandmother's home.  When my Grandmother passed away last year my sister and I started the difficult process of getting the house ready for sale.  Because both my sister and I live 3 hours away from Trenton we did not have a clue who to use to sell the property.  I called 2 relatives that live in the area and they both independently recommended the same person...Tara Lyons!!

When I first met Tara I found her to be very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and eager to get started.  She knew that I had my hands full in preparing the house for sale and right away offered the names of people that could provide me with assistance. I did take her recommendations and in retrospect it would have been very difficult without the help.  Once the house was listed Tara always made sure that I was up to date the entire time the house was on the market.  She provided detailed written reports that showed similar houses that were for sale in the area, what the sale prices were, what they had sold for and, how long they had been on the market. For me this information was invaluable when trying to make decisions about where we stood in a competitive market and what could be done to make the listing more attractive.  I personally have sold and purchased two homes in the past but have yet to deal with an agent that puts in the time and dedication that Tara does, she was literally there for us every step of the way.

This is not the place to say this but... I don't really like Real Estate People. They scare me. Whenever I'm selling a house, the market is always depressed, our home is not what the market wants, it's in the wrong area, doesn't have enough bedrooms....you know the story. Then when it comes time to buy the pressure is really on. The market is "hot". There are five people lined up if you don't sign. They need to talk to you so often you think of giving them the spare bedroom to make life easier:

But then there's Tara Lyons. Nearly as tall as me, half my age and wise beyond her years. As well as finding us our dream home she helped us with our rental accommodations, where to buy a car, sorted out the lawyer and even gave us a folder of business cards of people we might need. Tara told us her favourite restaurants, where to get the best deals on everything from toasters to a bed. She also told a couple of Kiwis about "Canadian Tire".

While we were still in New Zealand she was in touch via email. It's a tad twee to say it but I will anyway..."nothing was to much trouble". We must have asked some pretty stupid questions, had some strange request but she was always there for us.

She found our dream home and respected our financial limits. She was always mindful of vendors and their situations and was incredibly professional. Ours may not have been the most expensive home she's sold but she made us feel that it was our jewel.

We hope Tara will come over for supper one night. The home deal is done, however we hope the relationship is just beginning.

Oh...if and we sell, Tara will be the selling agent: You see I suspect she has hundreds of families who know that she will be able to find them their dream home...perhaps it will be ours.
